Michael Saba has been working in the Australian financial markets for over 20 years. He commenced his career as a Quantitative Analyst with BBY, then moving to a Derivatives Analyst role in the mid 1990s with ANZ McCaughan, where he concentrated on the equity options market and ASX listed hybrid securities. Subsequently Michael has been consistently ranked as a leading participant in these sectors for over 15 years at HSBC, Goldman Sachs JBWere and now Evans and Partners. At these firms Michael has been closely involved in the listing for more than 25 bonds and hybrids on the ASX. Michael is extremely well regarded for his regular and timely listed fixed interest security analysis as well as sector indices.
Michael now heads the Fixed Interest rate team at Evans and Partners which deals for clients in both the wholesale and listed markets. The team also helps clients construct and manage fixed interest portfolios. Michael regularly writes for the ASX on its investor newsletters, has published in JASSA as well as having significant input in the ASX Fixed Interest education series. Michael holds a Ph.D from Monash University in Science and a Masters in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne.
