The May Retail Sales statistics were released on Monday showing a contraction of 0.6% for the month, after a rise of 1.2% in April. Tony discusses his view on Retail Sector in light of this data which is broadly consistent with the Evans and Partners Reality Channel Survey feedback. As part of the discussion Tony differentiates between Department Stores, Discretionary Retailers and retailers of Staple Goods.
