OUR PEOPLE

Tony joined National Mutual in 1985, as a portfolio managers’ assistant before moving into equity research in 1987. Tony has a breadth of experience in research, starting as a resource analyst before moving into and covering various industrial sectors including media, retail, brewing, telecommunications, engineers, miscellaneous industrials, infrastructure, gaming , diversified financials and property trusts. Tony went on to head the industrial research unit at National Mutual / AXA in 1995 prior to moving to UBS in 2000.

Tony joined the UBS media research team where he became an Executive Director and was involved in the research development and global marketing of Australian media. In particular Tony was responsible for the global marketing of News Corporation and worked closely with UBS’ global media team in New York and London, covering a global client base. After News Corporation re-incorporated into the US in 2004, Tony moved into the Telecommunication sector as the lead analyst, a period which included the T3 scoping study.

Tony left UBS to go back into Funds Management in 2006, joining Alpha Investment Management where he was the Head of Research through to 2009, prior to joining Evans and Partners.
