ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
John Wylie is Chief Executive Officer of Lazard Carnegie Wylie.
He was a founder and principal of Carnegie, Wylie & Company (CWC), a leading Australian corporate advisory firm, which in 2007 was acquired by the global financial services firm Lazard Inc.
John has worked in the corporate advisory industry for more than twenty years in Australia, New York and London. Prior to forming CWC in 2000, he was Head of Investment Banking and then Chairman at Credit Suisse First Boston Australia. He has advised on many of the most significant corporate transactions and Government privatization programs in Australia in the past 15 years.
John also:
- Is Chairman of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Trust;
- Chaired the Steering Committee for the A$465m redevelopment of the MCG between 2000 and 2006;
- Is a Board Member and Honorary Treasurer of the Florey Neurosciences Institutes based in Melbourne; and
- Is a member of the Business Advisory Forum of the Saïd Business School at Oxford University.
He holds an M.Phil in Management Studies from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland. He is a Member of the Order of Australia. He is married with four children and lives in Melbourne.
