Mixing it up in equity pays off

LAST week I discussed fixed income investments as an option for your portfolio. This week I'd like to discuss the equity market as a source of income.
Many, if not most, of the clients we advise are looking to their portfolios to generate income to live off. Most of these investors are of the view that capital gains, while nice, are of secondary importance.
