Dear Clients
It has been some months since I have updated you on the growth of Evans and Partners. I am therefore delighted to report our firm continues to expand and attract extremely good people during these uncertain times. Our staff numbers now approach 50 and it remains our intention to open a Sydney office in the not too distant future.
This week we are very pleased to announce the hire of Dr Michael Saba as Head of Equity Derivatives. Michael joins us from Goldman Sachs JBWere where he drove the firm’s capability in Hybrids and Derivative products. Michael has over 17 years of experience in Financial Markets producing highly regarded research on listed fixed income securities and equity alternatives. We believe this expansion of our fixed income and derivatives capability will add significant value to our clients, particularly with income such an important focus for investors as cash rates and dividend payments continue to fall.
I am also pleased to announce the appointments of Daniel Parasol and Danni Roche to our Private Wealth Team. Both have impressive careers in Private Wealth Management with Daniel having spent a collective 10 years with Citi Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs JB Were and Danni joining us from UBS. Danni of course also boasts a glittering sporting career including an Olympic gold medal in hockey.
We continue to see opportunities to add value to client portfolios through the good work of our high quality research department and our expanding advisory team. We believe 2009 will be an important stepping stone for Evans and Partners and look forward to bringing the fruits of our growth to you.
