Evans and Partners announced today that Phil De Young will become the firm’s first Chief Executive Officer, effective 28th March 2011. Mr De Young assumes the CEO role as David Evans, Founder and Managing Partner moves to an Executive Chair capacity. David Evans has served as Managing Partner since establishing the firm in November 2007, and will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors. As CEO, Mr De Young will chair the firm’s Management Committee.

Background on Phil De Young Phil’s qualifications include a B.Eco. (Monash), a B.Ed. (Monash) and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Securities Institute of Australia). He recently completed an eight year term as Principal of Carey Baptist Grammar School, which culminated 31 years of teaching and leadership in Victorian independent schools. He interspersed his career in education with a four year appointment as a Director of a financial services company, Wilson Dilworth Limited. Phil is currently a consultant in the education sector. Outside work, he is Vice President of Monash Blues Football Club, a regular competitor in half-marathons and triathlons and a rueful golfer. Phil has been married to Rosemary for 40 years. They have three married sons and three much loved grandchildren.
