I write to you at the end of an exciting year for Evans and Partners. A year of expansion, a year where we have continued to define and add value to our service offering and a year where we have welcomed some outstanding investment professionals that continue to broaden Evans and Partners’ capability in providing quality investment advice to you.

The key theme of the year has been the literal “snap back” of investment markets from this time last year. The coordinated response by governments around the world and their central banks ensuring stimulus through government spending, coupled with a coordinated approach on interest rates, has all led to a better than expected year for investment markets and their stakeholders. Furthermore the economic power house of Asia continued to shine on the Australian economy particularly commodity markets.

There is no doubt the new year will bring new challenges for investors and their Advisers as we contemplate the effect of a higher Australian dollar, a rising interest rate environment and a government that will be running a large fiscal deficit. However our pledge to clients stands firm throughout even the most challenging of these times - we will continue to provide rigorous, disciplined and innovative research reflecting extremely profitable investment ideas.

Christmas time gives me an opportunity to thank all of our clients for their custom, their loyalty and trust in our firm. Evans and Partners will continue to prosper and grow.
