Asciano under pricing pressure in container ports business

ASCIANO may face continued pricing pressure in its container ports business. Its dominance in the sector will be tested by a tender in November with global shipping giant AP Moller Maersk.

Evans & Partners senior analyst Paul Ryan said this year's earnings would be driven by the full contribution of business wins in Asciano's rail operations in Queensland, and strong growth from NSW's Hunter Valley.
